Approaching the lake, but well down from the pass, you can see a strip of rock crossing the middle of the lake from both sides, the middle section is actualy underwater. The color difference in the two bodies of water is apparently due to different depths or amount of glacial silt trap in each. My water filter clog rather quickly here.
