A short side hike from the long backpack I was doing this day from Hermit Creek to Indian Gardens, this is the destination for mule riders out for the day (not going to phantom ranch) and strong dayhikers can do this from the Bright Angel trail. I would go out the Bright Angel Trail the next morning.
