Rainy weather, possible bad roads, and a sore toe made me give up on backpacking the Lost Coast

Instead I drove to Shelter Cove and the Black Sands Beach. Then I drove south along the road to the next trail head, and the turn off to an alternative start for the southern half. (This road is in bad shape). The road to the end of that hike was closed, at least from the north end.
