Only about 3 hours from the trailhead, for some reason I decided to make camp rather than get out and car camp again at the FS campground or go into the town of Ashton.

While the camping is usually spaced about a mile apart, there is a camp on the other side of the river. The sign on that campground is a bit misleading. It says horse camping on the other side of the river, making the folks there think they could camp on either side of the river.

I let them join me rather than have to re-ford and ford again in the morning.
