Lonestar Gyser

A major gyser, but almost 3 miles from the highway, on a road you can bike in on. Pleasant walk.

The ranger talked me into going this way to Shoshone Lake. I think it is probably much more scenic, but he was wrong about it being no further. In fact I did not double check this fact until I left the trailhead at around 11 AM and realized I had 12 miles to go not 8!

I took this shot on the way out. People were there waiting for it to go off in about 4 hours. I decided not to wait.
