A bit before Meadow Creek there was a rather bad slide, with a steady trickle of water thru it.
The wood trail bracing seemed to be just barely holding on. I tested the soil, and to my surprise it was very firm. I stepped across the trickle of water, which required I commit my weight to the next step, over stepping on rock which might be a slick as that on the prior slide. There was red flagging before this, and an old trail on the other side, suggesting a possible long detour around this slide?
This could be the same slide as:
"DO NOT CROSS BUNKER CREEK BRIDGE . . . There is a slide in the Dulog area that may be very difficult to cross or impassable, 14 miles downriver from Grave Creek. Last update: 4/14/09."
Though another more recent page warning about the Bunker Bridge (again) omits this warning, and when I phoned they said the lack of rain should mean few slides. So maybe this broke loose again, bad plumbing?
