HMAS Diamantina was intresting. No one else was on the boat & you are free to wander about yourself, what a maze of corridors, rooms & decks. That engine room would have been hell to work in. It was hot humid & had a terrible oily greasey smell & it has not run for years! Could not imagine how terrible it would have been to work down there, no windows & with the boat heaving & swaying for your entire shift, it must have driven many crew insane. Definatley a job for the young!
