Ghosts of Route 66: Desert, Diesels, Dinosaurs, and Delgadillo's Dead Chicken

I've made hundreds of photographs of deserted gas stations, tourist traps, truck stops, motels, and concrete dinosaurs from the New Mexico border to Seligman, Arizona. The following is a selection of my personal favorites, photographs that express all that is wonderous and mythical about the I-40 corridor--the successor to US 66--across the American Southwest.

I'm about to take my third trip to Los Angeles from NC, and as a photographer and traveler I must say that I greatly appreciated these pictures. Such inspiration for pit stops to make along the way! I hope that my adventure will be as exciting as yours.
