Total Solar Eclipse - 2021 December 04 - Eflight 2021 SUNRISE
Originally I had planned to view this eclipse from my 7th continent on a Cruise ship, but as the COVID-19 pandemic looked like it would go on and on, and cruise ships being notorious for spreading viruses, I cancelled that trip. Really I would have liked to view it from Antarctica proper, I did not want to take a chance on the virus having the trip cancelled altogether. Indeed several eclipse chasers did go onto the continent, and had beautiful skies for the event, as was expected, but that trip was $50,000 a person, and getting canceled due to COVID would have been a great loss.
I rebooked right away to the E-flight SUNRISE 2021, which was now booking a 2nd plane for this adventure. I booked a row with new eclipse chaser Scott Radford. Here are some of the experiences for this trip. This was also my last eclipse seeing Jay Pasachoff on an eclipse where he died 2022 NOV 20.
