Total Lunar Eclipse - 2021 MAY 26 (Portal.Arizona.USA)
The total phase of this eclipse would not be visible from where I live in West Des Moines, so instead of going to Hawai'i where the entire eclipse would be visible, I took my equipment to Portal, Arizona to get my pix. The Moon rose that evening into a clear sky, and when I got up at 2:15 to set up my equipment and start taking my shots, there were a few clouds around but the Moon was in a clear hole. The clouds got worse, but then got better, and can be seen much of the time when some of the Moon is darker than it should be, but most are not visible as I was able to adjust the contrast enough to make them disappear, The wide shots however show the clouds with a reddish tinge, likely from the sun catching the clouds before sunrise.
All of the shots were aligned with the stars, not the Moon, but since I used an iOptron guider in Alt/Az mode the stars appear to twist over time.
