PORTAL

In 2025 I bought a house in Portal, AZ, known as one of the darkest locations in the U.S., with Bortal 1 skies. Don't know what that means? It means they are the best skies around. Formerly owned by Irene Kitzman, it was the 3rd house built in what is known as "Sky Village," which was in 2005. Essentially, there are no lights there. There are NO streetlights, and if you have a white light on the porch, you should not use it on moonless nights. There was already a roll off roof observatory there, built by Irene and Rick Beno around 2018.
