A few old and very damaged negative shows this first comet I ever saw and photographed with my dad's old Argus camera. I took perhaps a dozen images and these are a few of them. The scratches are so bad I cannot even tell what is a star and what is a scratch. I cannot tell you what dates these were taken on, except that they were in March 1970.
I have removed many of the truly bad scratches. Also there is some light leakage onto some of the negatives, and I could not use any scratch removal software as it degenerated the image of the comet itself.
The portion of the comet here is a small part of the complete negative since it had a large field of view. Sorry for the quality. The larger image on the right appears to indicate some lengthy tail, this is why I left it very grey so it would show better.
