Most of the Faroe Islands were clouded over for this eclipse, but I chose a location just east of the airport to view and photograph this eclipse, perhaps less than 500 people out of perhaps 20,000 were in this area and managed to view the entire totality with only a couple clouds that quickly drifted over, but not really obscuring the Sun during totality.
Nicolas Lefaudeux saw my images that I had combined together into one and published in my web magazine "TOTALITY!" thought he would like to take a crack at combining them together so I sent him all 9 originals and this is what he managed to piece this version together, which indeed was better than my mash-up. Now Nico is considered one of the greatest solar eclipse (along with other astronomical subjects) photographers in the world. See his web pages at;
