Living in Portal, Arizona brings many different birds into view, so here is a start at some of the birds living with me. Birdwatchers come to this area to see the huge variety of birds living here. Here I will start off with hummingbirds as they will come right up to you, especially if you put out sugar water for them to drink. As far as the hummingbirds go, they are about the size of the last 2 digits of your little finger, and weigh as much as a penny, or about 1 ounce. They beat their wings about 30 times a second and fly at 25 mph. They are also found only in northern South America, Central America and North America, no other countries in the world!
