A CME made a glancing blow to the Earth and sparked a G3 storm with a KP index of 7, which should be seen from my latitude. For about an hour there were some very interesting aurorae. There was the usual continuous glow to the north, and on occasions details to the northwest and to the north east, with several differing colors.
