I walked over to this church from Duxbury Beach, walked along the shore and up to the town just before the jetties, barefoot, then put on my shoes and walked thru the town to the church, every Sunday morning from 1929 ( I was only three then, but you had to go to church, until just after the war in 1944. There was just one road going into the church and the priest had to get the mass over with and the cars out of the parking lot before the next mass. I remember he kept saying he had to do the mass on "radio time"..the latest way to keep acurate time... I did not know the church burned down. Was it replaced?
