Plainville School and Town Hall

Postmark 1908 - Published by Frank E. Whiting, Plainville, Mass. (Printed in Germany)
Plainville, formerly known as Slackville, was first settled in 1661 as part of the vast lands of the town of Dedham. It separated from Dedham as part of Wrentham upon that town's founding in 1673. It was officially incorporated in 1905. It is the youngest town by date of incorporation in Norfolk County, and third youngest in the state, behind Millville (1916) and East Brookfield (1920).

Nice pictures. I went to third grade in the left building and the fourth grade in the right building. After that we went to the "new" school,Plainville Elementary, further North on Rt1A which became the Beatrice Wood School. Mrs' Wood was my fifth grade teacher.
