We joined a tour to watch rape seed flower (vegetable oil seed plant) which yields bright yellow colour with spreaded fields within a wide low grown profile small mountains. It just happened that there was a shortage of water and rain situation which shortened the yellow flower season from 6 weeks into only 2 weeks. We were there on the 4th week and was too late. Without yellow flowers photos to shoot at, we spent some time to shoot gulls flying around two garden lakes.
I was using a Canon 5D2 and a 24-70 zoom lens. Luckily I brought this camera/lens set for this trip. Often, I had to use shutter speed of 1/1600 to 1/2000 of a second and aperture of f 2.8 to f5. The high shutter speed was just to capture the fast motion of gull beaks and wings during their food hunting pursuits.
