I am thinking Female or Juvenile Purple Finch. It really stands out from the female House Finches and really doesn't look the same.

Gary: Once again you're correct. This is a female Purple Finch. I think that the red at the gape of the mouth is either something it's eaten or an injury. This is not a feild mark........Nice captures BTW.
