Obviously different from other woodpeckers

Petrie Islands

The Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker's very red throat and yellow trim are just 2 of many differnces. This Woodpecker is much larger tan a Downy and sligtly smaller than a Hairy Woodpecker. Pattern in the feathers is quite different as well and the female, although not as colorful and without the red throat, does have a red cap.

other sizes: small medium original auto
