A tiny female Rose-breasted Grosbeak spent the afternoon in my yard. I've seen fledglings before but she is the smallest and barely 2/3 the size of an adult. Zero pink in the feathers and I've a few shots of her under-wings showing the rich yellow/gold feathers so I know its a female. Here she is in a Mountain Ash tree and her beak is smattered in service berry skin and pulp from the berries she has been eating ( Service Berry trees are loaded this Summer).
