Dancing To The Wrong Partner

This tiny fly which resembles a Walnut Husk Fly ( wing pattern doesent look right though). It is in fact part of one of the two fruit fly families. It would dance with one wing extended then switch wings almost ritual like . I thought it might be trying to attract a mate. It kept this up until it got close to the Jagged Ambush Bug at the bottom of the photo. It finally clued in though and flew off.
