Taken yesterday morning. I had accidentally shot this at a high ISO for my Pro-1, 200, and the result was a picture with blown highlights and a lot of noise.

This guy surprised me as I entered the road from a field. He spotted me and stopped to check me out. I must have appeared harmless so he just came on down the road. I finally had to back up to let him pass and talked to him...letting him know I wouldn't hurt him. First time I ever talked to a deer. I thought he was going to walk right up to me! He got so close that he was within the minimum focusing range of the lens. A few minutes later some joggers came down the lane and he bounded off into a field.

...this morning. This guy let me get within 30 feet of him and posed for at least 75 frames.

...I think. Still sporting the eye-patch after having my right eye injured in an accident at school in Pittsburgh, PA. Eventually, I lost sight in the eye and had to have it removed in 1977.

Dad (Poppy)was diagnosed with acute leukemia yesterday, March 5th. Without treatment he has only about 6 weeks. With treatment, a 20% chance that it will stay in remission for a year. This was the initial diagnosis. He is in excellent health and that will make chemo easier for him. He is scheduled to check in to the hospital Monday after a consult with his doctor. We'll know more then.

He will have one week of chemo and 3 weeks of recovery in the hospital so he wanted to visit with Brian before he goes. Poppy and nanny have been here for us throughout Brian's battle, never leaving the hospital until they knew that Brian was going to be OK. Plus, they spent many, many days watching Brian so that I could work.

Dad is an awesome husband, father and much beloved grandfather.

Please keep him in your prayers!

The blur of the forks was unintentional, I have know idea how it happened, but I liked the effect. I use PSE 2.0 for editing and am trying to figure out how to blur the front tire as if the bike were in motion. Any suggestions?

Several of these guys have taken up residence on the cap rail of our swimming pool.

Opened the pool skimmer to clean it out and this fellow and it's mate were hanging on for dear life to a blue plastic boat!! I snapped a few pics and set them free.

Opened for business in 1911. The reflection in the window caught my attention.

The hail had stopped and the storm had passed. There was still a lot of gusty winds and a light shower trailing the storm. I used my tripod and self-timer to take this shot but still couldn't get a clear pic. The lightning was beautiful but because of the rain I had to shoot from underneath my carport to protect the camera.

Tonights storm has put on quite a show.

I took the kids to see a Cival War re-enactment this afternoon. It was the first one I have attended and it was amazing!
