Indeed erotic, even slightly more than that. The fact that the body is partially covered in the upper part, sends the viewer attention to the lower part of the body, with its harsh nudity. The wide angle shot enhances and enlarges this part of the body. That's fine if was indeed intended to emphasize this unproportional look.
