I am still not sure what made this pattern, but I like it.
Yeah, its a good lesson to learn about the zone system and the
fact that meters dont have a clue as to if you are looking at pavement in
blinding bright light or snow in dim light. To make white white, you
have to make it bright [by adding exposure]. Normally spotmetering would
have required 1.5 - 2 stops over but I was using evaluative metering which
already took some of the shadow into account.
