Just got back from Pawnee Buttes (Pawnee Grasslands) with
a Boy Scout Troop. One of the boys almost stepped on this
snake which struck just after he noticed the snake inches
from his foot and jerked he foot out of the way.
It was about 4+ feet long and was indeed rattling as we watched it
from a safe distance.
