Murphys Gold Era Town

Murphys, is a small town located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
It used to be a Gold Rush town, called originally Murphys New Diggings.
Murphys became alive and prosperous at the beginnings of California Forty Niners heydays, in 1948.
One hundred pounds of gold was found in less than one day then!
Some of America’s most famous figures are known to visit the town, including Mark Twain, President Ulysses S. Grant and J.P. Morgan.
Today, this quaint beautiful town is dotted with the original old buildings and remnants of its old glorious Gold Era days.
