Postcard from Bombay. Nowadays, the capital of India is called Mumbai.
At the time I visited this country it was called Bombay.
The postcard here shows the Gate of India Monument.
It was built by the Great Brittan in 1911, at the time when the British Empire spanned the globe,
and “the sun never set on it” as the saying was. The hotel in the background is the elegant Intercontinental.
