The Short S.25 Sunderland III Hythe was one of the most powerful and widely used flying boats
throughout the Second World War. It was used as a heavy bomber, observation platform,
cargo and as the Hyth Class commercial passenger plane. Very few remained in the world today.
One of them is at the Oakland Air museum at San Francisco bay.
This one was used as a passenger plane by BOAC (British Overseas Air Corporation)
You can see some pictures of it from my visit at https://pbase.com/photoascoli/oakland_aviation_museum
