20120515 - Impatience at St Patricks

Hmm - ran out of sun after taking this, then realised that the lens was wide open - and this lens is a bit iffy wide open. Ah well, it'll have to do.

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/60s f/4.0 at 17.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I like it , did they grow the tree just so it would frame the church ? :-)

A well framed shot. The church fits perfectly under the branches. V

Magnificently framed shot. Beaut light on the steeple. I think this shot'll do just fine. V

yes, stopped down a bit may well have produced a bit more ooomph...sterling framing though, and great location...perhaps a series of odd settings here might prove fascinating..

I think the lack of pin sharp detail adds to the mood. Beautifully framed. V

There may be a difference of 16522km or thereabouts but this is an almost identical church to the one my daughter was married in :)

Looks fine to me. I like the ivy and the shadows.
Very handy that the church was there for the branch to lean on.

Still a good dof with it wide open, very good framing too.

Cracking framing

Got it set well. Hard to tell the imperfections of f/4 at this size.

We all live and learn, I wish I could learn from other peoples mistakes instead of having to make my own
