Suddenly, silently, a form breaks the surface of the water. The shape is black as night. As it looks towards the shore, the moon glints on its eyes; two small specks of light in the darkness. There is movement near the shore; a young couple in a small boat. The shape slips back beneath the surface, moving towards the shore. Nearly imperceptable ripples on the surface of the water are the only signs that danger is near. :)
