20100918 - Soggy Socks...

...in Sunny Scabby

Had a mini-PBase day out in Scarborough with Neil (& almost Kev but not quite!).

Neil didn't get quite as wet as I did! We did find out that my tripod bag (complete with tripod) floats and sails quite happily out to sea :-O

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
1/60s f/7.1 at 28.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Fantastic candid work Phillip!
Too bad about the tripod & bag ~ makes for a good excuse to go shopping! :)

Blimey, soaked 'togs and an errant tripod...sounds like a pretty adventuresome day out! Cracking action shot of a bedraggled Neil :o)

Better the tripod than the camera! :)

Love the b&w tones in this.

I'm tempted to ask how it got in the sea.... but that would spoil the mental image I have :))
By the way, do you carry spare socks??
Zak18-Sep-2010 20:20
I'll keep a look out for it floating past! ;-)

Reminds me of the 'golden age' of reportage...I can imagine youngsters seeing this photo, and thinking 'I want to take photos like that'.
It's what I'm thinking, anyway!
Fantastic, Phil.

Maybe the currents will carry it round here - I could do with a nice new tripod!
Excellent story-telling in this image.

oh no...19th nervous breakdown?...pity about the socks yet moreso about the prodigal sticks...tour-de-force image under extenuating circumstances...V
