20100117 - Fallen 2

Well, I think peeps were right about the white bit in the original version - it wasn't a river, though the river Cover is just beyond it - it's actually a snow-covered field.
So, with a bit of scaling and a bit of cloning I've, err, removed it! Not very 'photographic', but there you go... :o)
I think it does look better for it though!

Did anyone say it was better!!? yes, super now...

Yes, this is better, and very impressive! The textures and the shapes of the root really stand out now and make it a wonderful powerful image. L love the flash light on the fallen tree, now it adds more interest as in the first image. Perfect. v

I like this cropped composition much better...I fell it gives more weight and strength to the fallen tree...well fettled indeed!

I have to say it looks better. it must have taken ages to sort the background, is it just a clone tool jobby?
Stephanie18-Jan-2010 21:43
Background is great! I feel as though the branch to the left is still too bright, sort of distracting my eye to it.
But what do I know? I'm still learning how to use my camera! LOL!
Stewart Mitchell18-Jan-2010 21:28
Perfect job Phillip, you left just enough light in the b/g to give depth...but not so much as to be distracting. Well fettled sir!
