20081215 - Something in my Eye

:'(

But I've just given it a swill and there was an eyelash in the bath with a fuzzy-blob on the end... not sure that's got it though... I think it's really a little lump on the inside of my top eye-lid. It'll probably sort itself out eventually.

This shot was REALLY difficult to set up! I considered cheating and joining two pics together in Photoshop, but where's the fun in that? This'll have to do as it is, had enough attempts.

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
1/200s f/11.0 at 100.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Yes, must be difficult to have that shallow DOF and line your eye up with that bottle. Hope it settles! I prefer the Trevor Howard cure, too.

Cheating? PhotoShop? You? Eye don't think so. Lol

All that talk of 'blobs' on your eyeball have made me
go all peculiar - hope all is clear again. Clever shot.

lol @ Johnny! Eye eye lad! was what I had in mind.. :o)) Really clever shot, Phil - I like the soft reflection of the blue in your eye, connects the two parts of the image together nicely.

I have no idea, how you could manage to focus on both at only f11, I suppose it is this fabulous Canon lens then which might be helpful. Have never tried this one...
This is a very challenging shot! fantastic result! V

Good shot, Phillip. I'm glad you didn't PS this one and did this on your own.

If not the original Brief Encounter, try this one of Victoria Woods B E Parody...tears of laughter could wash that eye out ( note Parky in the opening scene )

You managed this really well.
Máire Uí Mhaicín15-Dec-2008 23:27
Poor you, but you got a good pic. You need a film like Brief Encounter to give you that Trevor Howard - Celia Johnson moment.

Very good for a publicity !!

Ouch - sounds painful. God shot though.

....cop an eyeful of that! Nothing amiss with your technique...unless there is something wrong with my eyes!!!
