hopefully the flat bed will be soon lax mnl because its a long flightsand the passengers need a comfort during the flight. thanks.

Hi Max, photos in this gallery are from 2006. The featured aircraft, as with other PAL 747s, have been retrofitted with more modern and comfortable Recaro seats & larger PTVs.

Hi Max, PAL's more modern 777 would be used for trans pacific flights and the 747s perhaps retired once Category 1 status is restored.

when are they going to have business class flight lax manila with a flatbed?the old plane are outdated especially the interior thats why travelers like pinoy catered ot toher airline that can offer more comforts.

One of Philippine Airlines' 747s has recently undergone a reconfiguration to include new interiors, AVOD IFEs, among other improved on-board amenities, but it isn't N754PR - it's N751PR (appropriately the first -400 delivered to PAL). At present, it's the only one so reconfigured; the other 747s (N754PR could be the next, but there's no guarantee on it) are also scheduled to undergo the same reconfigurations over the coming year.

As a footnote, N754PR now carries registry RP-C7475.

Whats with the 747 flying from Cebu to Manila? I had a domestic flight once and to my surprise I thought we are going to board the A340 beside it! I'm so excited to board a B747 in a domestic flight! But I got worried, maybe I am in a wrong flight and maybe the next airport/city I see is Los Angeles or Haneda, anyways it landed on NAIA, why is that? Is the 747 fleet retiring? Are they slowly banding the Boeing fleet with Airbus and Bombardier?

i wonder if after the refurbishments, PAL will have only one layout for all the 747s. i mean the galley locations on N754 vs the others are different, as with the position of plugged windows...

I hope you are right that N754 will be first to be reconfigured. Owing to its lesser passenger capacity, that plane is mostly used to flights between MNL & SFO whereas others I would suppose are used between MNL & LAX which has more passengers.

Mabuhay! I have heard that N754PR will be the first 747 to be reconfigured with the lie flat seats in Mabuhay class and avod in Fiesta class. Is this true? Thank You for your response!
