In 1986 PAL bought & started operating the Shorts SD360 'Sunriser' instead & added Fokker 50s in 1988.

In 1992 Bombarider acquired de Havilland.

In 2008, more than two decades later, PAL decided to buy a fleet of Dash 8 300 & 400 series otherwise known as the Bombardier Q300 and Q400.
