Makara Beach, a bit of the wild west coast near Wellington - a favoured spot for Wellingtonians in the know. Each time you go it is different, sometimes calm hot and sunny, othertimes wild, rough and windy. Put on your hiking boots, grab a fishing rod, take some water and expect the unexpected.
