Napier
Napier November 25
After all the recent cloudy and rainy days, the clear blue skied 71 degreed weather of Napier was a welcomed relief.
We found a spot on the boat that had at least decent coffee (we decided the powers who be think it's ok for the masses in the cafeteria line to
drink swill) and food choices are a little healthier, not to mention more remote and less populated.
We took a bus to the center of town, as that was the only choice besides taxi for the cruise people to leave the docks for some reason. After
an earthquake in the 30s that killed about 230 people the town was redone - in an Art Deco style. The guide we chose was a walking tour
featuring the Art Deco motif. It really shows in the pictures.
After the tour we walked a little on our own and ran into other cruise people who said they also were disappointed in this boat having cruised on
other Celebrity vessels and liking them.
