Messina - Italy



Sailing into the Staights of Messina is awesome as the straights are only around 2 miles wide. (Apparently there are plans to build a bridge across them).

Plans to visit Taormina with its famous Greek theatre and Mount Etna today.

Etna was the highlight of the day for me, We were able to get just over 2,000 metres but the mountain is around 3,200 metres. It was interesting to watch the changing vegitation as we climbed until eventually there was nothing, well very little.

Next stop: KataKolon - Greece
