Leaving Santorini we travel overnight to Kusadasi - Turkey.
This is a samll resort city situated on a beautiful bay.
Unfortunately we did not really get any time to explore the city as it was our gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus.
Ephesus is reputed to be one of the largest archeological sites in the world.
I know that our trip there took most of the day and we only really took in the main attractions, there is so much to see.
If you have any interest in old ruins this place is a must see.
Key sites along the way were the temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world),
the temple of Hadrian, the great theatre, the magnificent library of Celcus and a walk down the Arcadian Way
where Mark Antony and Cleopatra once rode.
Next stop: Heraklion - Crete.
