This is the causeway to Holy Island. Numerous people do not heed the warnings regarding the tides
and need to be rescued each year. The small building on stilts has been provided as a
sanctuary for these people as the tides can carry vehicles out to sea. The row of
poles on the right mark the old pilgrims footpath and is still followed by people to this day.
