Leaving Kusadasi behind us we sail on towards the Island of Crete and the port of Heraklion.
Heraklion is the main city on Crete and is a good starting point for exploration of the Island.
The City is home to the archaeological museum which contains the most comprehensive collection of Minoan artifacts in the world.
(closed on the day of our visit).
The Minoan civilisation flourihed around 1600 BC. Today we head off to visit the Minoan Palace
of Knossos, for many this site is one of the major reasons to travel to Crete.
Next Stop: Valleta - Malta.
