These horses live in the nearby hills and come down to the lake near sunset to drink from the lake, some roll in the mud and the water. There were a couple stallions but mostly mares and their foals. This may not be the only group but was the only group that I saw come down that evening. There is fishing on the lake and camping along the shore and at a couple campgrounds. The water level of the lake was down a bit.
