The Mayor of Dallas Laura Miller started this race to try to increase the physical fitness of the children in the city

All Gradeschool aged Children living in Dallas could participate in the race for free it was a 5k and a 1 mile fun run from City Hall to the southwestern edge of Downtown Dallas. This is part of the White Rock Marathon Weekend.
