The block actually is not straight but has a slight curve that would give visual protection to anyone walking down the street, police would have to be fairly close to spot a person walking down the street. Also all along this street there are small alcoves in store fronts that a person could stepinto and not be seen until a person drove right to the entrance to that store. Lee living in this area for over a year would have known this.
