The Great Trinity Forest in Dallas, Texas

The Great Trinity Forest runs alongside the Trinity River in Dallas County and south and since much of it is flood plain it has been left pretty much in it's natural state. As the seasons change different plants come into flower and different animals are more active in it.

There is a marked hiking trail in the part of the Forest Called Rochester Park that leads to both the river and to a small cluster of Texas Buckeye Trees along the oaks, ash, mulberry, pecans and hackberry and other trees, bushes, vines, grasses and flowering plants.
