Laser Guided Macro

First Prototype.

An experiment to see if inexpensive LASER diodes could be used for focusing and rough framing
without using the viewfinder.

Two 5mW LASER diodes mounted to the side of the flash heads of a Minolta Twin Flash

Adjusted to converge at the correct focus distance just below the image frame.

Intended to be used to shoot Sphinx moths in flight in the dark.

Are those lasers available in different colours? That would make it easier to see if the subject was too close or too far as the dots cross over accordingly.
