The iris can also be cleaned by using detergent and water followed by a rinse with
distilled water and then alcohol to speed drying. Dry quickly.
If the iris is disassembled a toothpick helps to coax the blades in their pivot holes.
To assemble loose iris blades, arrange as shown with the points pointing counter clockwise.
The last blade must be inserted under the one to the left and over the one to the right.
Move the blade to the left slightly to reveal the pivot hole under.
