An old microscope base was modified to take the PVC adapter (via a curved block of wood)
The stage tilts on axis for stereo photography. Polarizing sheet material is
located below the stage with substage illumination for birefringent photography.
The projector lens can be seen protruding from the lower part of the adapter.
Note curved piece that holds lens in the correct zoom position.
Any adjustable support could be used such as an old enlarger or a copy stand.
