Prototype vented lens hood for the 28-135 Minolta AF lens
This lens is notorious for not having a factory solution for a hood.
This is especially a problem with the full frame A900.
The hood must be quite large in diameter to have effective depth.
A powerful magnet on the top of the shade holds the center pinch cap which also has a magnet.
The petal indentations do not vignette as the lens turns during zoom because the field of view changes quite rapidly at the wide end.
Hood reverses on the lens for storage and the center pinch cap can be used with the hood attached.
